Coordenadas: 00°26′S 32°15′L / -0.433, -32.250


Kalangala é un distrito do sur da Rexión Central de Uganda. O distrito corresponde coas Illas Ssese do Lago Vitoria e non ten superficie na propia terra principal de Uganda. Como os demais distritos, é chamado así pola súa capital, Kalangala, que se atopa na Illa Bugala, a maior das Illas Ssese.


Limita cos distritos de Mpigi e Wakiso polo norte, co Distrito Mukono polo nordeste e leste, coa República de Tanzania polo sur, co Rakai polo suroeste, co Distrito Masaka polo oeste e co Distrito Kalungu polo noroeste.


Cobre unha área de 9066,8 km2, dos cales só 432,1 km2 (4.8%) son terra e o resto é auga. Componse de 84 illas esparexidas polo noroeste do Lago Vitoria, das cales se atopan habitadas 43. A maior das illas, Bugala, posúe unha área de 296 km2, o 68.5% do terreo do distrito.


O censo do 2002 estimaba a súa poboación en 34.800 habitantes.


Os tres piares da economía do distrito son a pesca, o turismo e a agricultura.
