This is my first post here, but that doesn't matter much, so I'll just get onto the question. I have Minecraft installed on a hard drive called (M:). Minecraft is in (M:)Gaming.minecraft. My Minecraft folder of course has a versions folder. However, when I took all of the folders out of it and put them in a new folder, then went into the MC launcher, it didn't ask me to 'download and play' minecraft 1.10.2, it instead just says "Ready to play Minecraft 1.10.2". Also, when I then go into the versions folder, there is no 1.10.2 folder within Versions, and there wasn't before I moved the files either. Also, then I try installing Forge. It installs into the versions folder correctly, except for the fact that there i only a "1.10-forge1.10-12.18.0.2000-1.10.0.json" but no .jar.
I need the .jar, as it contains Minecraft (as I am sure many of you know.) Please let me know any possible solutions ASAP.
EDIT: Here are some Screenshots of my problem

Versions and along with other folders have to remain in %appdata%.minecraft because you can't make the launcher know that the versions themselves are somewhere else.
